GO₂ was originally conceived as a supplement for personal use, with the aim of enhancing recovery, reducing soreness, and increasing general health. After years of research and product experimentation, a combination was hit upon that had frequent testers, primarily triathletes, cyclists and weight lifters, reporting remarkable results. When testers made it clear that "the orange stuff" was making a significant difference in their training and racing (some would no longer compete without it), it was time to give it a name. "GO₂" was born, a play on "O₂" - because reducing oxidative stress is why it works.
