No, though many report being more alert from taking GO2. This is most likely from the neurostimulatory effects of carnitine, beta-alanine, carnosine.
Short of eating ten bottles at once, there is no potentially harmful maximum dose. There is, however, a maximum absorbability. Based on various clinical studies of the ingredients in the GO2, one can absorb up to ten capsules every 3-4 hours.
Always experiment in training first so that you have no surprises. Dedicated GO2 users report that they will take 10 capsules before an event shorter than 6 hours. A recent Ironman finisher took ten before and ten during, and felt so good that he did a mountain bike race the next day! Some users take only a capsule or two a day.
We recommend that you experiment, but for maximum absorbability, we recommend taking GO2 on an empty stomach. It is fine to take GO2 with a little food or juice if you experience any stomach sensitivity.
